This week, the New Yorker, in collaboration with The National Book Foundation, has announced the five longlists for the 2018 National Book Awards and there are some amazing picks! I squealed out loud (like actually squealed) when I saw that The Great Believers by Rebecca Makkai was on the fiction list! I couldn’t love that book more if I tried and am so happy to see it on this list. Makkai’s book is joined by some other AMAZING books and although I’ve read a decent amount of them…my TBR list just keeps growing and growing and growing. Here are the lists for you to browse, purchase, borrow and read!
The 69th National Book Award Ceremony will be held in NYC on Wednesday, November 14th and will be live-streamed for us all to enjoy! Click here for some cool information about the awards (rules, regulations, prizes, guidelines, all the juicy info). I’m really excited to watch and I hope you watch too…then we can discuss afterwards! In the meantime, please feel free to comment and tell me what books you’ve read, loved, disliked, want to read or anything else your heart desires. YAY BOOKS!!
*Thank you to The National Book Foundation for the book compilations above.
