1. I have not tried this lip balm yet, but I am obsessed with the idea that it changes according to your skin’s PH levels. What?!
  2. I have searched high and low for this specific copy of Anne Frank that I had when I was a little kid and that my parents got rid of in recent years 😦 While we were in Amsterdam, there was a display at the Anne Frank house and low and behold! The same copy that I had was there! So once we got home, I was on a mission…and I found it at Abe Books. I can’t WAIT to read it again and now I’ve seen so many of the places and things she talks about in the book, in person!
  3. I used a free trial of Apple Music and am now obsessed. It has mostly any song you can imagine and now I might need to buy the subscription. Sneaky, sneaky Apple.
  4. We recently got home from a trip to Paris, Brighton, London and Amsterdam and ohhhhh man it was life changing. I’ve never been to Europe, so it was extra special for me. While in Paris, we went to Shakespeare and Company, and I just want to move in.
  5. With that said, Easyjet was the worse airline I have ever dealt with. If you’re interested in the details, I can give you more, but I would seriously be wary if you ever think about booking a flight with them. Now I’m obsessing with getting A LOT of money back from them. I will not give up!
  6. I joined a local bookclub at the library next week and I’m psyched (and slightly nervous. I’m an introvert afterall).
  7. Getting back into a gym routine after 2 weeks of being off. Granted, I walked more miles than I ever thought possible in Europe, but keeping up with my gym routine will be good. Oh, and I bought a fitness watch and I LOVE it! It’s motivating and keeps me in check, and is a different way to work out. I love it!
  8. Loving our sensitive plant that we started from seed this year. Fingers crossed she survives the winter inside!
  9. I signed up and got into so many markets this season and now I’m slightly overwhelmed…but excited! I’ll be at The Big Wonderful tomorrow slinging cards and other paper goods.
  10. This song, on repeat.

Friday Favorites 8/3

Here are some of my recent musings and obsessions. Enjoy!

  1. Uggh just finished the last season of The Fosters ever. I had no idea it was ending and this family (show) just gives me all the feels.
  2. Listening to this song forever and always. I’m not even kidding-it was the ONLY song I listened to on a recent flight. Don’t judge…
  3. And if you really want a good cry…watch this video next! I may never recover from this ugly cry.
  4. I cannot stop thinking about this book. Seriously…it’s not an easy read, but it’s life changing.
  5. This deodorant has me intrigued…
  6. This box is still just constantly taunting me. Waiting for me to buy her.
  7. I JUST had my birthday, but I’m already in thinking mode for next year-my big 4-0.
  8. I love these tinted chapsticks. I have rose and it’s fantastic!
  9. Get out of here! I want one (but that price tag…)
  10. Obviously forever and always obsessed with Bookstagram.
  11. Forever dreaming about a chicken finger sub from home. Why don’t subs exist in Colorado?!

Friday Favorites 6/22

This is just a list of things that I’m currently reading, watching, thinking about, doing or basically, just plain obsessing over. I thought I’d share them with you periodically on Fridays, so you can see inside the sporadic brain of Melissa. If that’s something you’re into 🙂 Feel free to tell me your latest obsessions-I’m always into seeing what other people are into!

1. Creating playlists with Spotify. I used to obsess over making blank tapes (and later cds). This is 1,000x’s better.

2. Bookstagramming! Always and forever. Find me and all the amazing bookish people over on Instagram

3. Booking tickets for Paris and Amsterdam. We have a spot for 1 more trip while we’re there. Any recommendations?

4. With that said…I have been obsessed with Anne Frank since I was a little girl. We’re going to the Anne Frank museum. Wishes come true.

5. Researching plants for our yard. Living in Colorado and keeping things alive is hard.

6. Watching Younger on Hulu and can’t.stop. It’s getting a little out of hand, but if you’re into binge watching-check this one out!

7. Trying to decide if I should take the leap and order BOTM. I’m only torn because I receive a lot of bookmail and am constantly adding books to my library queue as it is. Can I handle more books? I mean, the obvious answer is probably yes 🙂

8. Obsessing over this stationery and planning to make some asap.

9. I’ve put this book in my cart 15 times, and then I start sweating, locking doors and windows, and then think maybe I can’t handle it lol. But I realllllllly want to read it. Have you read it yet?!

10. This has my heart.
